Subject:So For Tonight is How to Cook Chicken
Time:12:58 pm.
Mood: cynical.
Update time. Because sometimes you just need to.

Elizabeth broke up with me two months ago. I have about a billion things to talk about with regards to all the bullshit that went along with this, but I'll save that for a later post (it's going to take a while for me to type it all up). For now, here's the very brief summary.

She said she needed time for herself, to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. Very good reasons, though it still sucked. Then she went ahead and jumped on the next guy that showed her any interest. She lied to me, she lied to her friends. It's funny that she always told me she was afraid of failing, being a failure, etc. I've never seen someone fail so Goddamn hard. I can't stop laughing about it. I managed to get my stuff back (though it's all covered in slut-germs at the moment). If anyone knows a good place to sell Tiffany's jewelry, I would reaaaally appreciate it.

In other news, I'm double-majoring in Honors Physics and Mathematics at Purdue (West Lafayette), with a minor in Japanese. I'm in the University Honors Program. I'll probably be graduating in three years (assuming my advisor will let me cram all those physics courses into three years). I'm going to be taking 19 credit hours next semester, so hopefully college will actually be CHALLENGING then. Right now I do next to nothing, and it blows. Calculus III is boooooring. Physics moves kind of slow. And Chemistry is just plain retarded. My other classes are complete blow-offs.

I've got so much more free time now, which has been awesome. I've been spending my weekends with friends old and new (mostly old). During the week, I practice piano very very often. I research many things online. I barely play video games anymore, even though I would really like to play on a regular basis. I've started running several times a week, and I hope to add more to my workout soon (I really should get over to that rec. center).

I got some cool new toys for myself recently. The most notable ones are:
My Yamaha Digital Piano (YDP-223) - It set me back $1600, but it's fucking amazing. It feels and sounds just like a real piano. I picked up a pair of studio monitor headphones from Sony for late night practicing.
Sprint Mobile Broadband Aircard - I just got this thing yesterday, and it is SWEET. My Purdue courses have online homework, and I've already had several situations in which I almost missed a due date as a result of not being able to connect to Wifi or whatever. Also, it's just really Goddamn cool. It has a microSDHC slot, so I can store data on it, too. Oh, and it has GPS capabilities, though I haven't had a chance to play with that stuff yet.
EeePC 701(4G) - I was FINALLY able to afford this (hooray not having to pour money into someone else!). This thing is so much fun. I can actually hold it like a DS and type with my thumbs. This + Sprint Aircard is going to be very very very very fun indeed.

I've recently become the individual I've always wanted to be. I'm bitter, and I don't trust anyone. Many people I know have recently proven to me that no matter how sincere and trustworthy they seem, they are just as likely to lie to me as that filthy whore I made the mistake of trusting for 2.5 years. Everybody lies for different reasons, but in the end it's all the same - everybody lies. That's it. Everybody lies. And the sooner you learn to apply that to every encounter that you have, the clearer everything becomes.

Subject:Ubi Caritas et Amor, Deus ibiest
Time:7:53 pm.
Mood: indescribable.
My uncle died today. I was never really close to him, but it's a bit upsetting nonetheless. And I still have homework from today and yesterday to do. And all I want to do is listen to this song.

Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est.
Congregavit nos in unum Christi amor.
Exultemus, et in ipso iucundemur.
Timeamus, et amemus Deum vivum.
Et ex corde diligamus nos sincero.
Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est.
Simul ergo cum in unum congregamur:
Ne nos mente dividamur, caveamus.
Cessent iurgia maligna, cessent lites.
Et in medio nostri sit Christus Deus.
Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est.
Simul quoque cum beatis videamus,
Glorianter vultum tuum, Christe Deus:
Gaudium quod est immensum, atque probum,
Saecula per infinita saeculorum. Amen.

Where charity and love are, God is there.
Christ's love has gathered us into one.
Let us rejoice and be pleased in Him.
Let us fear, and let us love the living God.
And may we love each other with a sincere heart.
Where charity and love are, God is there.
As we are gathered into one body,
Beware, lest we be divided in mind.
Let evil impulses stop, let controversy cease,
And may Christ our God be in our midst.
Where charity and love are, God is there.
And may we with the saints also,
See Thy face in glory, O Christ our God:
The joy that is immense and good,
Unto the ages through infinite ages. Amen.

Here's the .wma of it: http://h1.ripway.com/Nighthawk44/ReneClausen-UbiCaritas.wma If the link doesn't work, just ask me to send it to you over AIM. I'm not trying to cram religion down anyone's throat; I just think that this is a beautiful song.
